Biography and Statement
Ann Jagla is from South Bend, Indiana. She started painting watercolors as an adult after taking courses at the South Bend Museum of Art under the tutelage of Elizabeth James. Ann is a member of the Northern Indiana Artists as well as the St. Joseph County Watercolor Society. She exhibits at local and regional art exhibitions and the annual Leeper Park Art Fair.
Painting allows me to express my inner peace and joy. I like to use bold colors and shapes to create my paintings. Sometimes a still life or subject from nature inspires me to paint. I feel very in touch with nature and enjoy creating paintings that reflect that feeling.
